DELZUR I Five Communities, One Thousand years of wisdom
Indigenous territories in South America manage 22% of the world’s land, holding 80% of global biodiversity and 36% of intact ecosystems. these lands are vital carbon sinks, absorbing 7.6 billion tons of CO2 annually. In the Amazon alone, indigenous territories store 73 billion tons of carbon.
Yet despite their critical role in environmental conservation, most indigenous communities face poverty, limited healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.
At the heart of Delzur’s mission are indigenous women , pillars of their communities and custodians of ancestral craftsmanship.
Through collaboration, Delzur amplifies their voices, preserves ancient traditions, and strengthens families while protecting mother earth.
